Tony Dunnell - Tony Dunnell

Tony Dunnell is a freelance writer and experienced backpacker currently living in the jungle town of Tarapoto, Peru. How he ended up there is a long, long story involving a splattering of logic interspersed with many random events...

From Brazil to Freelance Writer, Peru

Tony Dunnell's first solo six-month voyage in Brazil took him along the length of the Brazilian coast then down the mighty Amazon River. Taking the road less travelled, he then ventured into the heart of the Brazilian interior. His adventures in Brazil left him wanting more and it wasn’t long before he set off on a year-long trip from the southern tip of Argentina to the northern coast of Colombia.

Now living in the Peruvian jungle, Tony continues to explore Peru and South America, dividing his time between travelling and writing.

  • Tarapoto Life – all about Tarapoto, Peru (where he lives)

He is also the Guide to Peru Travel for About.com.

Tony’s travel writing has appeared in print for the V!VA Peru Travel Guide and on various websites including Living in Peru and Avid Trips. On a lighter (perhaps darker?) note, he has also contributed to StudioKnow.
