These can be printed out for use in Spanish classes, adding an extra element of fun to the learning process.

Free Printable Spanish Crossword Puzzles
Free printable Spanish crossword puzzles are available at The Teacher’s Corner website. Scroll down to the foreign language section on the crossword page and select from ten pre-made Spanish crossword puzzles. The simpler themes cover Spanish colors, numbers and the Christmas period.
Create New Printable Spanish Crossword Puzzles
If the pre-made options are limited or do not cover the required themes, the website includes a free crossword maker. Simply create a new template and add the questions and answers into the available fields. Give the new Spanish crossword puzzle a title, click on “Make Crossword Puzzle”, and (after entering a short check code into a box) the newly created Spanish crossword will appear.
Check the crossword for errors and then print the screen to receive a newly created Spanish crossword puzzle (print it out multiple times or make photocopies for each student). You can tailor the Spanish crossword puzzle to suit the abilities and interests of any given group of students. Spanish word search puzzles can also be created on The Teacher’s Corner website.

Students can also devise their own Spanish word search puzzles using the Teacher's Corner website above. 10 to 15 words for each Spanish word search should be sufficient. Give each student (or group of students) a theme to cover such as pets, sport, or food. They can then list the words in English and find the Spanish translations for inclusion in the Spanish word search puzzle (finding the words is a useful vocabulary building exercise). You can then share out the completed word searches between the other students.
